INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM

This international colloquium brings together four research teams from different countries (France, Brazil, Germany) and researchers from different cultures who have a long history of collaboration. The aim of this colloquium is to present their approaches concretely to the example of headaches, migraines and neuralgia.
Since the 1980s, the psychosomatic approach has been gradually pushed aside in favor of medical specializations. Thanks to Professor Jean-Benjamin STORA (Professor Emeritus Honorary Dean of the HEC Faculty; former Director of the Integrative Psychosomatics Department at the Paris 6 Faculty of Medicine), he has been able to create the "integrative psychosomatics". It is an integral part of the "new psychosomatic approach" and has fueled his work for half a century. He and the doctors of his team will present the methodology of integrative psychosomatics. - Clinical phenomenology traditionally refers to "the lived body" and, as Pr Mareike WOLF-FEDIDA (Univ. Paris Cité) will explain, it is inseparable from a fundamental psychopathology. Current works will be presented by herself and her doctoral students. - Pr Guilherme MESSAS (Faculty of Medicine Da Santa Casa São Paulo, Brazil) refers to clinical phenomenology and daseinsanalytic in the practice of adult and child psychiatry. He will explain his methodology as well as his doctoral student in co-direction with Pr M. WOLF-FEDIDA. - In Germany, the dynamic perspective combining psychoanalysis and brief therapies are increasingly practiced in a psychosomatic aim as will be explained by the researcher Tülay ATAC (ex-doctoral student Univ. Paris 7).
This scientific meeting gives an important place to the discussion with the participants and between the researchers. The publication of the proceedings of the conference is planned.
